Your Christmas tree worked hard this year. It held the lights, the ornaments, the memories — and now, let's be honest, it's dropping needles like confetti every time someone walks past it.
That's where we come in. 🎄➡️🚛
How It Works
Every Tuesday in January, we offer curbside Christmas tree pickup for $25 per tree. And we've made it ridiculously simple:
- Place your tree at the curb on any Tuesday in January (your regular trash day).
- That's it. No scheduling, no texts, no calls, no forms.
- After we pick it up, we'll charge the $25 per tree to your card on file.
- Your tree begins its retirement journey.
A Few Small Asks
- Remove all decorations — lights, ornaments, tinsel, tree skirt. Anything non-tree stays inside.
- Remove the tree stand — water pans, metal bases, etc. Just the tree itself, please.
- No bags. Don't wrap it in plastic or a tree-disposal bag; we compost these, and plastic wrecks the process.
- At the curb before 7 AM. Same as your regular trash — if our truck has already passed, the tree waits until next Tuesday.
What Happens to the Tree?
We route Christmas trees to a composting facility, not the landfill. They get chipped, combined with other green waste, and eventually turned into soil amendment for landscaping projects around metro Atlanta. It's about the best possible retirement for a tree that's already had a great run.
Artificial Trees
Artificial trees aren't part of this program — they can't be composted. If you're replacing an old artificial tree, that's a bulk pickup item. Text us a photo and we'll quote it.
Wreaths and Garlands
Real wreaths and garlands (no wire or decorations) can go out with your yard waste, up to your usual 3-bag weekly allotment. If they're wrapped in wire or plastic, they need to go in the regular trash.
Questions?
Not sure if your tree qualifies? Planning to put one out but forgot it was Tuesday? Reply to any of our emails or call us at 470-664-3100. We'll sort it out.
Cheers to a bright and clutter-free New Year.
